Structure and Workpackage
eACCESS project will be delivered and managed through following 7 Work Packages (WP) and over the period of 36 months:
WP1: Feasibility study.
The main objective of this work package deals with the preparatory work for the development, implementation and validation of new teaching modules of master courses and professional training courses on electrical power engineering. It includes a feasibility study of the introduction of new specialized course units in terms of prerequisites and the preparatory subjects, already available lecturing and laboratory facilities, presently used teaching methods and tools. The analysis will include also an analysis of the availability of human resources, local (university) and national legal aspects concerning implementation of new teaching courses and organization of professional trainings, education market studies and job market studies regarding the competitiveness and attractiveness of the planned teaching activities.
WP3: Development of the cloud-based teaching platform
The main objective of this work package is the implementation of the dedicated, cloud-based teaching platform. The technical solution will follow the widely approved Moodle structure
WP5: Quality control plan and project sustainability
Quality control will be an integral part of the project and will aim to ensure that project objectives are met in the most effective way. The quality control strategy of the eACCESS project will ensure that quality is planned for both the deliverables and activities.
WP2: Development and/or modernization of the electrical power engineering curriculum, modernization and validation of teaching methods.
The main objective of this work package is a preparation of the basic electrical power engineering curriculum, development of new teaching methods that will be used to deliver selected course units of the designed course. These teaching modules including lecturing, tutorials and laboratories, will cover the most important technical issues of the electrical power engineering area.
WP4: Development and modernization of teaching facilities.
The main objective of this work package is an upgrade of existing and development of new teaching facilities in particular two kinds of laboratories. Effective teaching of the power engineering heavily depends on practical skills, which could be developed in advanced laboratories based on expensive and complicated equipment and ancillary systems, which are impossible to be used for staff training in the real power grid conditions. The particular example of this limitations is High Voltage (HV) laboratory, which is crucial for the safety in work and efficient maintenance of a wide range of power system components.
WP6: Dissemination and Exploitation of Project Results
The aim of dissemination and exploitation is to ensure the visibility and communication of its actions and results towards the main target groups as well as towards all those stakeholders who can be positively impacted by the exploitation of the same results. It also aims to spread the expertise acquired through the project lifetime as broadly and as comprehensively as possible; and to disseminate the projects’ results to potential multipliers.
WP7: eACCESS project management
The main objective of this Work Package is to ensure the achievement of the project results through administrative coordination as well as to provide timely and efficient organizational and financial coordination meeting contractual commitments.
